Alex Maureau is currently a computer science student at CUNY Queens College. He has held the position of computer science tutor since February 2007 and has taken
courses in many areas of study which includes web design, programming in C++, Java & VB.NET,
operating systems, forensic computing and numerical methods.
In addition to his daily tasks of tutoring, he is currently a Microsoft Student Partner. This internship
requires setting up and running events on campus for Microsoft. Some previous events have been the launch
party for Halo 3, the launch of Microsoft DreamSpark, a lecture on XNA Gaming Studio and holding two programming
challenges for any computer science student.
Recently, Alex has been elected to serve as the Vice President of the
Association of Computing Machinery (ACM)
Queens College chapter for the start of the 2008-09 academic year.
Since he began tutoring, he has been writing sets of tutorials for numerous classes taught in
the department. He feels that it is time to share this valuable information with anyone, regardless
of whether or not they are students.
